Cancellation Policy
1. General Policy
All cancellations and refunds on Mahabnb are governed by the cancellation policy set by the respective host (property owner). Guests are strongly advised to carefully review the specific cancellation terms of a property before confirming a booking. Once a reservation is confirmed, the host’s cancellation policy becomes fully applicable.
2. For Guests (Tourists)
Guests must understand that all cancellation requests and refunds are handled strictly according to the host’s defined policy. Mahabnb functions only as an intermediary platform and does not guarantee refunds under any circumstances.
Before booking, guests should carefully review:
- Refund eligibility
- Cancellation timelines
- Any applicable charges or penalties
In cases of no-shows or last-minute cancellations, refunds may not be provided, depending on the host’s policy.
3. For Hosts (Property Owners)
a. Host-Defined Policy
Each host is responsible for creating and clearly defining their own cancellation policy. This policy should include:
- Required notice period for cancellations
- Refund percentage, if applicable
- Terms for last-minute cancellations
b. Host Responsibility
Hosts must ensure that their cancellation policies are clear, transparent, and fair. All terms should be properly communicated within the property listing. Additionally, hosts are expected to avoid unnecessary cancellations to maintain a reliable experience for guests.
4. Refund Process
Refunds are processed based on the host’s approval and in accordance with their cancellation policy. The standard processing time for refunds is typically 5–7 working days.
5. Disputes
Any disputes arising between guests and hosts should be resolved mutually. Mahabnb may assist as a mediator where necessary; however, final outcomes will be determined in line with the host’s stated policy.
6. Force Majeure
In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or other uncontrollable events, Mahabnb reserves the right to manage cancellations and refunds on a case-by-case basis.
